Abstract The versatile Santa Cruz writer Emilio Finot, shone from an early age with a light of his own. Historian, dramatist, archivist, bibliophile, journalist, educator, poet. There are innumerable labels that can be given to Finot, no one inferior to the others. He excelled in everything he did, overwhelmingly fulfilling the expectations of Bolivian society, to which he dedicated his work with zeal. Finot initially published his works in the city of Santa Cruz, since he was fourteen years old, and then published in the cities of Sucre and La Paz in our country, as well as in Buenos Aires and Paris. Member of societies of geographical and historical studies in Santa Cruz and Sucre, he dedicated countless hours of his life to the compilation of old and rare Bolivian publications, lost and about to fall into complete oblivion. He was, therefore, one of the most valuable bibliographers of the Bolivian East.
