Abstract The Mining Corporalion of Bolivia was bom under the influence of nationalist currents that gave rise to leftist ideologies, in opposition to the oligarchies dominating the country. COMIBOL had an impact on Bolivian economic and political life; for that reason, it is considered one of the six Bolivian strategic public companies. It is characterized for producing scientific information of high strategic valué in the metallurgical and industrial mining field. The documents it produces disseminate the know-how achieved by scientific research. This information is found in the documentary series called substantive, which must be declared in reserve, based on a legal body studied and approved by the highest executive authorities. Its treatment must be developed under the methodology of integrated document management, and the systemic approach, because it transcends the phases of archive and the life cycle of documents, and have a high monetary value
