Abstract
GRUDNER CARRANZA, Erick C. PHYSICOCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR, ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES, OF THE SEPARATION METHOD TRADITIONAL AND OF THE METHODS OF INNOVATION TECHNOLOGYCAL FOR EXTRACTION DIRECT OF LITHIUM (EDL), FROM PHREATICS BRINES. Rev. Tecnológica [online]. 2022, vol.18, n.24, pp. 22-50. ISSN 1729-7532.
ABSTRACT The physicochemical description developed in this regard allows us to establish that: None of the proposed EDL (Extraction Direct of Lithium) seeks to improve the performance of the natural brine NB, therefore, in all cases the exploitation volume of NB is very large (quantities must be processed very large NB to store milligrams), while the current demand for the insolubilized element in carbonate chemical combination is kilograms. Consequently, even if an extraction method is discovered that fully recovers lithium and is environmentally friendly. Under this current distorted supply and demand relationship led mainly by the industry mobile electric; the little content of the lithium in the natural brines, is a permanent constraint difficult to change at the moment.
Keywords : Lithium recovery methods from brines; ion exchange; adsorption; solvent extraction; membrane technologies; EDL.
