ABSTRACT: This research was conducted in an urban area of district 16 San Antonio in the Villa Armonía zone, in the department of La Paz. The objective was to determine lighting frequencies and agronomic performance in the mint crop. The study was conducted in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a bifactorial arrangement using the varieties: LED light exposure times as Factor A, for Factor Btwo planting densities were used, formingsixtreatments, and three replications, the response variables were: plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves per plant, total fresh weight, total dry weight and growth rate. The results obtained during the field study for plant height showed significant differences in factor A, registering an average height of 40.48 cm with respect to factor Band the interaction frequency* density, indicatingthat there is no interaction between the two factors for this variable. For leaf length, significant differences were recorded in factor A, with an average leaf length of 5.12cm and density, indicatingthat there is no interaction between the two factors for this variable. In leaf width, significant differences were obtained in the frequency with an average of 2.51 cm leaf width. For the number of leaves per plant, significant differences were recorded with an average of 17.88. For the interaction of the factors frequency*density, a significant result was obtained, which indicates that, with the interaction of illumination times and planting densities, there is a direct effect on the number of leaves. There were significant differences in the total fresh weight because the higher the frequency of illumination, the greater the demand of the plant and therefore its development will be satisfactory. For the total dry weight, significant differences were registered in factor A, registering an average of 2.17g of dry weight per plant and for the growth speed it was statistically demonstrated that the result was significant, which indicates that when using different frequencies of LED light, there is a direct effect on the growth speed since they responded in a more efficient way to their evaluated response variables, thus observing the interaction of lighting frequency - plant density, they had good results of mint production generatingan improvement in the economic yield of the crop.
ABSTRACT: At present, one of the problems within tempered environments is the fact of taking advantage of the space for it; Faced with this problem, the present work entitled: Evaluation of different planting frameworks in two varieties of spinach (Spinacea oleracea L.) at the Cota Cota Experimental Center, carriedout in a tempered environment, belongingtothe Facultyof Agronomy, University Campus from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés; where the development of two varieties of spinach under different plantation frameworks was evaluated, in addition to determining the yield and carrying out an economic analysis of the production. Taking place in a greenhouse with a usable area of 31.32 m². The two varieties used (Fifth and Viroflay) were evaluated; achieving the following treatments distributed in a completely randomized design with bifactorial arrangement, of 6 treatments and four repetitions. The transplant method used was in rows with a specific planting frame (20 cm x 30 cm, 20 cm x 20 cm and 20 cm x 10 cm), for both varieties. Thus, the following response variables were also considered: germination percentage, days to emergence, plant height, leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, days to harvest, biomass yield and economic analysis. Of the results achieved, in the agronomic variables evaluated, they did not show statistical significance in the leaf width variable; In relation to the weight of the biomass yield variable, we have that the T6of the Viroflay variety at a plantation frame of 20 cm x 10 cm, presented an average weight of 675.45 g. Regardingthe economic analysis ofthe experiment, we have that T6of the Viroflay variety ata plantation frame of 20 cm x 10 cm is one ofthe treatments with the highest benefit/cost value equal to Bs. 1.10.-, of which we can establish that it generates benefits and therefore for each Bolivian invested there is a minimum profit.
